Peacock Nails!

This may be one of my favorite layering combinations so far! I couldn't wait to try All that Glitters- Very Peacockish. I put two coats of Very Peacockish over two coats of Wet n Wild- Sagreena the Teenage Witch. This looks just like a peacock!

Very Peacockish is filled with many types of multi-colored glitter! It has a sheer shimmery blue base with small and medium hex particles of teal glitter, silver and blue bar glitter, large black hex glitter, and GIANT prismatic silver hexes. I may have even missed a few types of glitter, because every time I look at it, I see a new one. This can be purchased from the All that Glitters Etsy shop for $8. All that Glitters polishes are meant to build up to be opaque, and this shade could easily be worn alone with 3 coats. I just wanted to see what it would look like over green.

Here's how it looks with a little more lighting. I didn't get a picture of Wet n Wild-Sagreena the Teenage Witch by itself because I was too excited to layer Very Peacockish. I wasn't too impressed with the Wet n Wild formula for this one. The emerald green shimmer was gorgeous, but it was just really watery. There were some bare spots before I started layering. If I were to wear this alone, I would probably need three coats. Sagreena the Teenage Witch is kind of similar to Zoya- Holly, and I definitely prefer Holly.

Pink with Holo Polka Dots!

I thought I would try to do a mani with dots, since my dotting tools from eBay arrived recently. I used Nicole by OPI- In the Nic of Time (2 coats) and dotted it with Color Club- Worth the Risque. This picture is without the flash.
Here it is with the flash. In the Nic of Time is part of the Nic's Sticks line. It's pretty much nail polish in a pen. It's a shimmery pink coral. Color Club- Worth the Risque is a beautiful silver holo. It kind of reminds me of OPI DS Coronation but it looks much more holo. I have yet to wear it on its own. I love the look of holo polka dots. This combo kind of reminds me of Minnie Mouse.
Here is In the Nic of Time before applying the dots (pre clean-up). I believe the Nic's Sticks have been discontinued, but I picked up a few at Trade Secret a while ago on clearance for $1 each. I really like how convenient these are, but I would never pay full price for one. ( I think originally it was $7). There is only .135oz of polish in these. You would probably run of the polish in these after a couple uses. The color of this one wasn't terribly unique, it reminded me of OPI- Come to Poppy. It also applied slightly streaky because the brush constantly has to replenish with polish.
I ordered from All that Glitters a couple weeks ago, and my package finally arrived! The colors are Very Peacockish, Plum and Plummer, and The Gold Rush. I originally ordered Very Peacockish and The Gold Rush, but Kirsten was still waiting on a shipment of bottles from her supplier, so she threw in Plum and Plummer because it took some time to fill the order. This was awesome! I did not mind the delay at all. I believe she has all of them in stock at the moment, so get them while you can! They're very reasonably priced. It's $8 for a .5 oz bottle!

Very Peacockish is gorgeous! I can't wait to try it!

A Couple Nicki Minaj Polishes and a Minor Tragedy

Today I'm wearing OPI- Pink Friday under OPI Super Bass Shatter. I seem to be going through all the Nicki Minaj collection shades! This picture is with the flash. I thought Pink Friday would be very similar to OPI Sparrow Me the Drama, but Pink Friday is so much more bright. It reminds me of bubblegum. Pink Friday applied flawlessly with two coats. It is a great creme!

Here it is without the flash. Many are over the shatter trend, but I still enjoy it. I noticed that Super Bass shatter is the first shatter OPI has put out without a generic name like black, gold, blue... etc. I would describe it as a dark magenta/light purple with some shimmer. This combination is really girly.. almost too girly! There is definitely a lot of contrast.
Here is Pink Friday on its own.

Then a disaster took place...
I was organizing my collection, and I went to open a mini bottle of OPI Brisbane Bronze, and then *SNAP*. It's a shame this happened so I panicked! I needed to find another bottle to transfer Brisbane Bronze to. At least Brisbane Broze is part of the OPI Classics line, but I didn't want any of it to go to waste.
This is a bottle (or used to be) of Wet n Wild- Sparked. I had this for a really long time, and used a good bit of it to the point where it got goopy. Unfortunately it was before I got seriously interested in collecting polish and I added nail polish remover to it to thin it instead of thinner. What used to be a beautiful pink glitter turned into this gunk. Fortunately Wet n Wild rereleased Sparked as part of their Wild Shine line so I have the same shade, just in a different bottle style. I do miss the old Wet n Wild bottles/logos though.
The day was saved!! It took me forever to rinse out the old Wet n Wild Sparked before I could pour Brisbane Bronze in. I used pure acetone and an eye dropper. I spilled some acetone on my counter top and it dripped on the dishwasher (which is black) melting some of the plastic. Oops. Hopefully my landlord won't notice. I think I should invest in some empty bottles/metal balls incase an event like this occurs again.

OPI Fly Topped Off with Flakies!!!

Here I have OPI- Fly from the Nicki Minaj collection topped off with Love & Beauty - Light Green (such an original name). I purchased the Love & Beauty polish at Forever 21 last year. I have two coats of Fly and two coats of Light Green. The formula of Fly was practically opaque in one coat and when on flawlessly. I just did two coats out of habit. This picture is without the flash, and it looks very accurate to how it is real life. I think I found a new spot to take color-accuate pictures!
Light Green is very sheer. There are flakies and green shimmer particles suspended in a clear base. I would never consider wearing this shade on its own. These two look beautiful together. This picture is with the flash.

Here is another one I took without the flash to showcase the flakies. Fly looks really green- ignore that. I really don't want to remove this! It's just so pretty!

This is Fly by itself before adding Light Green. This is before clean-up. I apologize if my hands look dirty- they always do after I remove the previous polish I was wearing. I usually wait until my new mani dries before I thoroughly was my hands, but this was taken during the mani process. This color kind of reminds me of the Little Mermaid. Fly is a gorgeous teal creme.

I also have a tiny haul to show you from Rite Aid:
I purchased Pretty Woman Magnetix- It looks like an emerald green, but it doesn't have a name. I am going to order the China Glaze Magnetix collection soon, but I figured this would tide me over. I picked up two of the new Wet n Wild Megalasts also: Wet Cement, and On a Trip.
