OPI- Is that Silva?

Recently I wore OPI- Is That Silva? This is a magnetic polish that is part of OPI's Skyfall holiday collection this year. I just love magnetic polishes, and I don't own enough of them. Is That Silva? Is a gunmetal shimmer with scattered holo micro glitter before the magnetizing effect. This photo was taken indoors with the flash and you can really see the holo micro glitter!

Here is what Is That Silva? looks like sitting in my car in the sunlight.

Here it is indoors without the flash. The lighting in my apartment was somewhat dim.

I also took a picture before I used the magnet. This is just one coat of Is That Silva? The formula was great and it was completely opaque in two smooth coats.

This is the magnet that came with it. Compared to other magnetics I've tried, this magnet was much easier to use! It was clear and had a place to put  your finger. It was nice being able to see through it because I was able to get my nail as close to the magnet as possible and make sure that it wasn't touching the magnet and getting smudged at the same time. The magnet has a diagonal line pattern.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, I met up with some fellow bloggers that are also in a nail polish group I'm in on facebook. We had to take a picture of all of our nails together :) It was great meeting everyone! Is That Silva? also looks amazing in that lighting. We did a lot of shopping!

I've seemed to acquire a massive amount of polish and more is on the way because I took advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales!

Del Sol: Trick or Treat, Peek a Boo, Starry Night and OPI- What's with the Cattitude?

These were polishes gifted to me and received through secret swaps! First is a pink glitter franken made for be by a friend, Essie- Miss Fancy Pants and Mint Candy Apple, China Glaze- Under the Boardwalk, and Zoya-Aurora

H&M: Purple Sprinkles and Confetti Time, Happy Hands: Banana Stand and Springs, and Nails Inc- Sweets Way (Now I have all of the polishes in the sprinkles collection!)

Funky Fingers- Venom, Mood Ring, and Pink Pixels

Sephora by OPI: Studs & Stilettos, Come to Pappa-razzi, Slushied, and It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat. I snagged all of these on sale at Sephora with the exception of Come to Pappa-Razzi.

Del Sol- Knockout and some Nail Mail Goodies!

Since we've been having some wonderful weather here, I thought I would try out one of my Del Sol polishes. This is Knockout. It is a sheer nude color and it changes a rosy pink in the sun. The outside of the sun color kind of reminds me of a more opaque OPI Bubble Bath. I discovered that these polishes only work in direct sunlight. The above picture was taken in my car, and it still remained the bottle color.

Here's another picture in my car, but this is after I stepped back inside it after standing out in the sun. My thumb was the most exposed to the sun, so this kind of looks like an ombre manicure. 

Here the color is shifted for the most part. This is out in direct sunlight. This isn't the best picture. The neighbors in my apartment complex were giving me weird looks, so I was in a hurry to go back inside!

Here is indoors without the flash. The formula was alright, but a little bit streaky. This took three coats for opacity.

Now on to the new additions!!!

I got some nail mail from Sandy from Dandy Nails. She had a blog sale and it included some of my long-time lemmings!! I got Dare to Wear- Disc Jockey, OPI- OPI Ink suede, China Glaze- Cyberspace and Gamer Glam, and Sinful Colors-Green Ocean. I now just need one more OPI suede to make my suede collection complete. I've wanted Cyberspace and Gamer Glam for a while, and I was really angry with myself for not buying them while they were accessible at Sally's so I was lucky to find them for a reasonable price. I also never was able to track down Green Ocean, so I'm happy I have it now!

My order from Trans Design came in. I ordered the China Glaze Prismatic Chroma Glitters collection as well as other polishes I wanted. Here is Riveting, Marry a Millionaire, Optical Illusion, and Polarized.

Here's Full Spectrum, Ray-Diant, Liquid Crystal, and Prism. These are so unique! I can't wait to try them out!

I also ordered Essie-Navigate Her and Barielle- Falling Star. 

OPI DS Coronation and Nail Mail!

Today I wore OPI DS Coronation. It is a silver holographic. It doesn't have a linear effect but it's still gorgeous nonetheless. It's kind of on the sheer side. This took three thin coats. I could have probably gone for a forth one, but I got impatient and just wanted it to dry. OPI has discontinued this shade, but I have seen a couple at ULTA in the recent months. It can easily be found on eBay for $8, so definitely pick up this shade before it becomes hard to find! OPI needs to release more holographics in their Designer Series line!

Here it is without the flash. I'm experimenting with new places to get accurate lighting. This is under the ceiling fan in my bedroom (while standing on my bed). It seemed to work pretty well.

Lindsey from Neverland Nail Blog was having a blog sale and I purchased 3 polishes. My package just came! I got Del Sol Knockout and Reckless and Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Black Magic (the colorful bar glitter version). When I saw pictures of the Black Magic with bar glitter, I had to have it and I'm happy I came across it! I can't wait to layer it over some shades. Del Sols are really interesting too. I already own Heartbreaker. I'm excited to see how these new ones work. I may have to wait though because there isn't much sun during this Pennsylvania winter :(

Del Sol Heartbreaker

I cut my nails yesterday. They were long to the point where I couldn't stand it. Long nails look awesome on a lot of people, but I don't like the way they look on me at all. I always get them caught on things too. I put on Del Sol Heartbreaker. Del Sol polishes change color in the sun. I thought it would be neat because we've had some very hot, sunny weather lately.

This was a little difficult to capture. This color is supposed to turn purple in the sun. Unfortunately, we had thunderstorms today, so I wasn't able to get a color-changing picture. The name Heartbreaker reminds me of the Pat Benetar song.

Here it is without the flash. This is a really pretty red glitter. It kind of reminds me of China Glaze Ruby Pumps.
