100th Post!

I can't believe that this is my 100th post! It seems like just yesterday that I started this blog! I may have to orchestrate a giveaway soon in honor of the posts and the many new followers :)

Excuse the last post. I thought my fiance would be sweet while filling out "The Man Behind the Polish" survey, but I was wrong. He's just trying to act like a tough guy. He actually marvels in amazement every time I bring home new nail polish and can't wait to pick out shades for me to wear when it comes time to change my polish.
Today I'm wearing Sally Hansen- Air. This is another shade from the Smooth and Perfect line that was recently released. These shades are advertised to apply smoothly and flawlessly, and they definitely live up to that! I wore Dune a couple weeks ago and loved it! This shade is a little bit more unique. It's a sky blue with a tiny bit of shimmer. This color makes me want to layer Deborah Lippmann's Glitter in the Air over it or Revlon's Whimsical (If I owned them).

With the flash, you can see more of the shimmer. While Dune only needed two coats, Air needed three.

My Trans Design order arrived yesterday! I ordered a portion of the Hunger Games collection as well as some other lemmings. These other lemmings were China Glaze: Mahoganie and Atlantis, and Color Club: Diamond Drops and Fame and Fortune. I have been wanting Atlantis for such a long time!!! Mahoganie was a new discovery and the Color Club flakies/shard polishes were released relatively recently.

Now for the Hunger Games haul! Here I have Electrify, Stone Cold, Agro, and Mahogany Magic

Here's Harvest Moon, Foie Gras, Hook and Line, and Dress Me Up.

I ordered three more from Trans Design because they were out of stock when I placed this order so they should be arriving shortly. I purchased some additional lemmings also. I still have to find Riveting because they were still out of it. I'm sure I'll find it soon. I'm most excited for Luxe and Lush. What's your favorite shade from the Hunger Games collection?

  1. Air looks really pretty! I like blue shades like that. Nice haul! Atlantis has been on my wishlist for a long time too. Hm, I actually want Smoke and Ashes and Electrify the most from the Hunger Games collection.

    1. Thanks! I highly recommend the Smooth and Perfect line. These are definitely the smoothest, most flawless polishes I own next to ones with jelly finishes.

  3. Great haul! I think my favorite actually is Riveting. I got it at my Sally Beauty and they had a few of them actually.

    Also, love the blue :)

    1. I just stopped at Sally's yesterday but they only had about half of the shades. I saw Luxe and Lush (which is my number one lemming from the collection) and I had to resist buying it because I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail. They didn't have Riveting though. Hopefully I'll find it soon! It's a stunning red-orange.

    1. Thanks! I've seen sky blue shades before, but the shimmer in this one makes it unique.

  5. Thanks for showing one of the SH's from this collection. They are sitting untouched at my local Rite Aide on the display. I was going to wait for a SH sale and pick one up to try. Now seems you have really made me want to try one - and it probably would be this shade. It would look great with Glitter In the Air over it I am sure.

  6. Forgot to mention - cannot wait to see your swatches of the Hunger Games. I did not get them all. The Fois Gras was too much like others I have. I also did not get the Hook & Line as again it was not unique at all and far too much looking like a frost for me which I really don't like. I grew up wearing frosts (I am a ton older than most of you on nail blogs - so I lived through all the white frost lipstick, pink, blue and white frost polishes of the mid 60's until I branched out to reds, burgundy's when I decided they were chic and not old lady colors! I think I was one of the few hippies I knew who had a polish fettish!

    1. I'm one of the odd ones that likes frosts haha! There are a couple shades in the Hunger Games collection that look close to ones that I already have, but because I love the books so much I reasoned to get all of the colors in the collection. The Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect shades are wonderful. Right now I own three of them and I definitely want to go back for more.
