When it comes to nail polish, there are two things I love: green and holos! Nubar Reclaim is a magnificent blend of those traits. I have had this for a while, and I can't believe that I went so long without trying it. This is the only Nubar I own, and now I want more. The formula was amazing and very smooth. With other holos (China Glaze Tronica collection), I've found that I needed to apply three coats because they like to drag at the cuticle. Reclaim went on with two smooth coats. This photo was taken with the flash. Enjoy the following pictures of this amazing polish!

Without the flash. There is some linear holo action going on!
Absolutely amazing!!!!!
This is a gorgeous color! I can't wait to get my hands on it sometime.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I definitely want more holos haha
ReplyDeleteI have this shade and think it's just beautiful. I wish Nubar would do more holos like this. Too many are calling polishes holos now when they really are only glitters.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love this one
ReplyDeleteI love this color!
ReplyDelete@beachgal - my Butter London "Knackered" has holographic glitter. They are tiny glitter specks, but their color changes as the angles of illumination and observation are changed. I agree with you, this isn't a "true" holo, and I think the industry should adopt a different name - maybe "prismatic glitter" - to differentiate the random colors of holo glitters, from the more ordered coloring of a linear holo.
I agree that the term "holo" is thrown around too frequently when polishes aren't really holographic. I'm guilty of using the term "holo" for silver glitter that shifts to a spectrum of colors in lighting. I like the word prismatic to describe that type of glitter. I've also seen duochromes called holos. Essence had a collection recently called @holographics.com and they were all duochromes, and the glitter in the Kleancolor chunky "holos" is duochrome.
DeleteLooks amazing on you!!! This is my all time fav Nubar!!
