OPI Ink with Funky Fingers Gold Scales and Epic Nail Mail!

I cut my nails. I have 'lil nubs again. They will grow out soon enough though. I don't really mind having short nails. I can type faster with them! I am wearing two coats of OPI Ink under Funky Fingers- Gold Scales. OPI Ink is from the Brights collection. I'm not sure which year it was released, but I believe it is part of OPI's permanent collection. It's a blue-based dark purple shimmer. OPI Ink can be worn year-round in my opinion. Funky Fingers-Gold Scales is just your typical gold crackle finish. It actually looks very similar to OPI- Gold Shatter. It shattered pretty well, but it covered up a lot of OPI Ink.

Here it is without the flash. I just love shatters! I know some say that the shatter trend has passed, but I'm still a fan :) I'm also excited to embrace some of the new trends such as flakies and magnetic polishes.

I took a picture of OPI Ink before I topped it off with shatter. This is before I cleaned up. I also smudged my pinky, but I later touched it up and topped it with shatter. One thing I like about using shatter is that if you mess up a nail before applying it, all you have to do is touch it up with the base color instead of having to redo the whole nail. Shatter has a bumpy texture anyway, and you can't even tell there was a mistake.

I received some epic nail mail also! Traci from The TraceFace Philes had another blog sale with some old OPI's, and I was lucky to stumble upon the sale after she recently posted it. I was able to get these gems:

Orange Curacao (note the old bottle!), Amster-damsel in Distress, and London Bridge is Falling Brown

Arrivederci!, Innsbruck Bronze, Society Islands Sterling Silver

Grand Canyon Sunset, Opus in Amber, Hungary for My Honey

A True Ab-Original, Lighten Up, You're Two Pence!

I also was VERY lucky and won Traci's 2600 follower giveaway and I was able to choose 5 Julep nail polishes. I'm so excited to try Julep! Thanks again to Traci and her amazing giveaways!

  3. So you are the one who basically cleaned Traci out before I got there! She had quite the dusty hunt coming up with these. Glad they have a good home now. Will be fun to see these old gals in your swatches soon!

    1. Haha yep lol :) I can't wait to try them out! For most of them, the formula looked like it was brand new. Only one of them needs a little bit of thinner and then it will be back to normal. I still have a few polishes that I kept from when I was younger. I may start doing some "vintage" nail polish posts soon :)
